Dashawn Collier

My names Dashawn Collier. I was originally born and raised in Michigan and had a passion for drawing since i was very young. I’ve been drawing ever since i could pick up a pencil! From scribbling on the walls, my homework, school desks (sorry) and on paper! One of my biggest inspirations is my dad, who also was an artist in the past but no longer does any these days. I remember one day i asked him to draw me one of my favorite dinosaurs from my dinosaur book when i was a little boy. I’ll never forget how much excitement was in me when i saw the drawing come to life before my eyes. i was so happy and admired every stroke. I knew in that moment i had the potential to do the same thing one day. I wanted others to experience that same feeling i felt as a kid. As a self taught artist i have perfected my craft and started selling custom portrait drawing some time after my High School graduation in 2013 from Harrison High School in Farmington Hills Michigan. Some time along the way i was inspired by caricature art and began practicing since somewhere around late 2016. Today i can say that my determination and tenacity has brought my skill to higher levels! And the sky is the limit!
